Great tip on the welds. What a mastermind. I'd go lightly with those kind of kind of Kudos, Bob ! My nemesis, blankety blank interior tub rose up and bit me in the lower torso yet again. I spent the morning trying to get a light weathering. This is supposed to be a nice car, just not restored or gussied up! Pictures came out great! However, when I got them into the computer, I discovered that the tub had kept the body from lowering as I had wanted it. Why I didn't see this before hand, I guess I was just too excited to get it photographed. As I have said before, My main enjoyment in this hobby, is building stuff off the wall and getting some realistic looking photos. Having the finished model afterward is not all that important to me. I have a shelf full boxed up. But, as you can see in this photo, the frame is extending below the body in front. Not happy with that !! Back in the shop, I attacked it to see what I could do about the cursed tub ! Here is this afternoon's work. If you never see this model again, you can surmise that it met the far wall of the shop with excessive force !!! Getting good pics means a lot to me !

Today's episode of my soap opera: I have the interior sides, dash, and firewall glued to the body shell. The seat and mat are glued to the frame pan ! So much for trying to build a decent interior. I should have known better. The car photographed so well that I'm trying to save it. I have to reinstall the windshield wipers and the outside rearview mirror was lost in the upheaval ! Igor (Geezer's Garage mechanic) and I deceided that the crude home made scoop looked too tacky in the first fotos, so we are going to go with just a torched hole in the hood, in keeping with the budget theme.

That is a great photo. I think you got the body hit squarely on the head.

Had a pretty busy day, but this evening I went out to the studio and Igor and I torched an opening in the hood. We'll run without the scoop.

Looks like real torch work Clay. The first pic looks 1:1! It looks too damn good to throw, so don't give up:)
