Been neglecting the Bucket enough lately. Time to change that! Here's my latest project- a 'Phaeton of Satan' or sometin' like that. Basically, it is a '29 Model A Ford cowl, and from there back it's all '57 Chrysler fins.

Did a little bit more work today. I won't have a full chassis under it- since it will sit so low nothing will be visible. I just drilled holes in the flanks, ran an AMT metal axle through them, and capped off the ends with wheels from a Revell midget trailer. I'm thinking of using my cobbled-up radiator shell, too. Engine and interior choices are still up in the air at this point- I'm thinking of going with a straght 8 for power.

Plugged in a '32 Chrysler Straight 8, and used the rear bumpers from a 53 Effie for the framerails.

That is outside the box. Did you build the body?

Well... not really. I pretty much just glued some '57 Chrysler fins to a '29 Model A cowl- a few strips of scrap plastic and some Bondo filler sealed the deal.

The grille shell was made up from a couple of MPC '53 Ford flip nose rear fenders, and I used some window screen for the opening. Speaking of which, it's hooked up now...

Of course, it now suffers from the 'Chuck Posting A WIP" disease, that is, I post WIP pics, and progress grinds to a halt...
