I just joined the other day after stumbling onto this site. I love the style and quality of the builds here, I hope I can contribute something. This is actually my first full blown custom, I've done quite a bit of modification to this 56 Crown Vic body. You dont see many Crown Vics turned into full customs. I wanted to get away from the Crown Vic "look" so I removed the side chrome and filled the hood where the emblem goes. I've also extended the fins and tail light housings for some bullet lens. You can see by the soon-to-be-chopped vent window how much I chopped the roof (about 4 scale inches) I'm thinking tail dragger with a fully chromed Caddy engine built in the late 50's. Hope you guys like it, suggestions are always welcome. BILL Ive added a couple of up-dates...the rear plate has been tunneled into the trunk and the roll pan/grille was added to the rear.I'm also thinking of running the exhaust on either side of the plate with 2 pipes on each side. The front grill uses the kit surround with a scale mesh grille and the Meteor grill bar from the kit. It will also have some early corvette style bumperettes on either side of the grille. For color I'm going with Testors Lime Green with a white pearl roof.

Welcome. Wow! That's some seriously cool customizing there !! Looks like it might be be too nice to be in the Crusty Customs section. Maybe the boss will move you down a notch to the Beauty Queens. Either way, that's a lot of nice work !!!

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm having a little problem with getting at some of the really small areas in the back to sand the putty down so if it proves to be a major project it may stay in a primer coat.-BILL
