This'll be a little bit of a 'mild crustom'- just an overall nice, dependable cruiser that's just a little bit rough around the edges. IN short, the kind of Hudson you might see at a Billetproof event. So far, I have opened up the trunk- Why? So I can stuff the trunk full of cruise-night goodies, of course! Well, that's the plan, anyhow. And while I was in a cutting and sanding kind of mood, I made the side trim, handles, and fender top ornaments go away... I'm keeping the 'dirigible' side Hornet emblems, as well as the one on the decklid and the 'Hudson' applaque. Next few days ougtta be fun!

Hey Chuck, I was wondering how long it would be before people were building this kit. At the local Billetproof last year I saw a Hudson Hornet. The guy claimed the paint is original, just a graphic added at some time in the cars life. I got as many engine shots as I thought it would take. Here is the link if you are interested. zbuckstersmodelcars.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=book&action=display&thread=1229I will be following along on this build for sure. I have 2 of them Thinking about a pro-street and a factory stock.

I'm pleasantly surprised as well. The "bee" like paint job brings back a lot of memories for me. Back at the local speedway, Santa Fe Speedway, in Hinsdale, Illinois a demolition derby team called "The Sting" used too paint their cars this way. very very cool Chuck, tom
