Not sure why you had a problem with Mocro Mark Mask, unless, as you said you peeled it off. That's almost impossible. I had tried that before I realized it was water soluble. If your paint wasn't really heavy, it should have washed right off.

Got Bob's Big Boy as a freebee for buying some Jimmy Flintstone resins. He's on the bench and I'm trying to paint real small. Which is a real problem, when you have clubs like mine. He still has a ways to go. Man that rust sure made a mess on my bench, but I needed to clean it anyway

It's real rust made from Steel Wool.
