Just in case somebody is watching this, here on Rustbuckets, A small update. The paint Fairy seems to be off her meds ( or on the 'rag'). Paint job went a tad awry . Shot it with some generic rattle can gold . That didn't turn out too bad. Finding that my automotive clear hardner was jelled up. I thought I would shoot it with some Pledge, even thought I haven't had very good results with that in the past ! Yeh, messed it up. Letting stuff gas out good and will sand it down ont try a re-shoot with 1 Shot gold sigh enamel.
This build is only being shown on one other site that I'm frequenting, "Skid's Place".

Gave the paint fairy a couple of Midols and reshot it. Used 1 Shot gold this time instead of generic rattle can stuff. Hopefully it'll gas out and remain glossy without any clear.

That paint fairy can be a real bitch sometimes... I never heard of using pledge before. I've heard of future and mop n glow and a dozen others, but not pledge. I guess you've had no problems with it before ? Looking pretty good now, gold, copper and silver are hard colors to do right.

Installing some of the interior stuff.
Took it outside to see how it looked in the sun. Doesn't appear very glossy !

Thanks, Bob. Today, I'm removing the thick windshield glass, to replace it with thinner acetate.
Yesterday, I had my man, Igor, shoot a coat of clear over the gold that kinda dulled down after the initial shoot. WE used the small can of Krylon Crystal Clear that came with the decal kit from Micro Mark. That has laid down pretty good every time I have used it. Well. Igor, ( I swear I'll fire him someday !), thought it would be a good idea to clear over the installed windshield. Not a good idea at all. Removed it, but the frosted glass would not clean up !!

Maybe a dip in future would help.
