'48 Ford Convertible ........ Barn Find/ finished

While sorting through some of my un finished builds, found this '48 Ford already started and thought, what the heck.

Thanks Bob. Cleaned up the body, chopped the windshield and tried out the Carson Top. Where it will go from here is anyone guess.

Think I might use some acrylic inks on this build with some weathering.In fact, might even take it a step further on weathering. Getting the body ready for red primer.

Shot base coat primer yesterday. Now I need to aply some more shads of rust.

Thanks Bob and Clay. I want to give this build a rust and patina look like an old barn find, so I'll be adding in some different rust browns and yellows here shortly. Thanks for lookin. Any advice or criticism is welcome.

A barn find will be a very subtle patina and you are well on your way for it so far.

Thanks. Shot several coats of rust colors, but didn't like the resets and washed it all off. Should be dry enough to try again.

Applied hair spray, then coats of different shades of brown rust colors, with coats of hairspray in between.
