I have sprayed a nice darkish brown on the wood. Been busy fitting the windows and remnants of the inner side panels with the dash.
Now I have 2nd thoughts about trying the smelly, volatile, super transparent, pearl, booby pink nail polish ! I think I'll get a good contrast with the wood with a nice , light, lemon yellow. So I masked off the wood and shot a white primer base for the yellow.
I'll have the coolist painted toe nails in Citrus County !

Due to the hot rod nature of this one, I don't think the skirts fit the build. Otherwise I really like the build.

Yellow sounds real good and I think you should save that pink for something else for a while.

Made it to Advanced Auto today and picked up some Duplicolor, Daytona Yellow. Not as pale as I was looking for, but it ain't too bad. Looks light in the photos, but the hue is a little bit on the warm side. I'm getting the trailer from the 'T' kit around for it. Thought I had a pair of '48 Ford rear fenders in the salvage, but unable to locate them. So, I have a set of '39 Chev PU rears for it. Cant use the 'T's axle too wide and too tall. I'll be cobbling something up for it.

It needs a pair of 41 woody fenders with skirts like on the back of the woody. 39 fenders are too big.

The fenders seem longer than the trailer.

Maybe I have something hidden away...... Don't worry, Bob. I have already trimmed these down and have them started. I usually make do with whatever I have here. It looks a lot better ! Thanks.

Cool, a lot of tricky cutting to do that.

OK. The dash, windows and panels are all installed inside the body shell.
With a fine brush, I am adding some grain to lighten up the overall wood look.

The running boards, grilles, and headlights are all in now. Just some minor additions to go
