I was wondering if the offset pulley blister was making the scoop look a little crooked, So I covered tit with a piece of tape and sure enough, I have the scoop a little skewed ! Oh, well, it is what it is. I just won't photograph it from dead on the front,

I had very little effect from this last hurricane, guys. It was off the East coast. I'm opposite on the Gulf coast.

Been busy with stuff outside the model world. Have the Chev ready for a coat of white paint.

I'm still in the game.
I have re-coated the white base, and while that is curing, I'm practicing and girding my loins to deface it with some hand applied graphics. Using a body from the salvage to try stuff out on !

Maybe, Bob. Those are not in my genre of models that I like to build. In my last box of salvagable stuff there was several 'vetts of different vintages in various stages of disrepair. This body was pretty pristine.

My initial hope for all of this white was to have tribal style flames. Alas, this seems to be not working out. Believe me, it doesn't look all that good in person. I will have to repaint the hood. I think I will get better results with an old pinstriping brush and long sweeping Cincinnati style frames. We'll see.
I've used that Corvette fender skull thingy theme before, I may try to work something in on the 51
