This is a quick tutorial on how to post a basic message on this or any other ProBoards forum:
Posting in a forum is relatively easy:
1. Select the category and board that you want to post in.
example..."Totally off the Wall" board in the "Busted Knuckles Garage" Category
2. If you are starting a new topic, you will see three options on about the middle of the screen in the blue box: "Mark as read", "New Thread", or "New Poll".
select "New Thread" and click on it
3. That will open a new window with blank boxes.
insert a title/subject of your topic, then you can drop down to the big box and type in your message.
4. Once you are done typing your message, go to the bottom of the big box. There you will see 4 buttons: "Post Message"(this will post your measage), "Preview"(this will print the message only for you to see how it will appear), "Spellcheck"(does just exactly what it says), or "Reset"(clears the screen and allows you to start over)
make your selection and if you are posting the message, you are done. The forum board returns and your message appears.
5. If, however, you wish to post a reply to a thread you have just read, there are two methods. The first is to select the "Reply" option up at the top of the Subject line on the right side of the blue box.
select the "Reply" option and repeat steps 3 & 4
OR, at the bottom of the page is a "Quick Reply" box.
type your message in the blank box and click on "Post Reply". you are done and it returns you to the thread with your message posted.
There...you have just posted a message on the forum. As far as posting photographs to the forum, THAT is an entirely different matter as it really depends on if you have a web-based photo sharing site like fotki, photobucket, webshot, or the like. I will post up a tutorial on the forum for that .
