Rumor has it that old man Geezer will be buying the Beecher Meat Company next door to the garage. Seems that Beecher took his government economic stimulus money and high tailed it to parts unknown. The place is up for forclosure sale. Geezer thinks he would raze the bldg. and use the lot for his junk parts. This would mean adding to the garage dio. Have to be in two parts, but it would provide some more options in the background of his finished photos. The old Garage is getting a bit monotonous. BUT, don't hold yer breath. I AM junking up some parts as I get a minute and throwing them in a box....just in case

Why raze the building, when you could store the junkers in a nice, weather-protected building? That's kind of my dream... instead of a yard full of old cars, a BUILDING full of old cars!

Well, Chuck, both my garages that I refer to as dios, are not really complete dios . They are basically false fronts I built for backgrounds to photograph my models in front of. This Geezers Garage, my first one, has been in use for several years and I feel I'd like to add some opportunity to get some new angles. Been wanting to build a junkyard, among other things, so while the enamel paint is drying on my prostreet 53 PU, I found my idle hands tearing into it. Beecher Meat was just something to frame in the left end and not show the edge of the backdrop.

Model paint drying(?), rain keeping me off the roof, so I made a new base for the garage. Here's how much bigger it will be. 36 X 23"

This is like when I first built the garage. I'm becoming obsessed! This is so much fun it's a wonder it isn't taxed or illegal !!! I will have to get back to painting the 53, tho. Made a pile of tarped junk for the back corner and had to get a house ready for "Fluffy", the junk yard guard due soon from North of here.

Prostreet PU gonna need another coat fo paint to cover, so I started on a shed for the junkyard. Shed floor is artists mat board. Individual boards were cut with an xacto and embossed. The grain was cut with an xacto also. Matboards are designed to cut cleanly with a sharp knife. Then it was stained with my dirty lacquer thinner mix. Lacquer thinner dries so fast it doesn't warp the material. Works really good with stripwood also. Porch boards are from popsickle sticks.

You better build quick before 7/11 or McDonalds see that prime corner real estate. The city will dig you up for their underground services and tax you out of there...... Good work !

I don't know geez. Looks to me like that new place next door is going to be an eyesore. Maybe you could get an injunction or something like that until McDonalds can get a foot hold on the property?
