Greetings from the Pacific NW, Portland to be exact. I'm Dave Fletcher aka Fletch, pretty much answer to anything as long as you don't call me late to dinner. Been building for the past 47 years, have built just about everything available from ships to armor to aircraft but my favorite has always been automotive based. I build a lot of traditional rods and customs as well as exotics. I am a fan of Jaguar and Ferrari and love to build to the Billetproof concept.
I am the vice-president of the local automotive modelers club SABA (Scale Auto Builders Ass'n). We produce the Bob Paeth Portland Classic Model Car Contest which is held in conjunction with the Portland Portland Roadster Show. The Portland Classic is the longest continuous running Model Car Contest in the country. The upcoming 2011 Contest will be the 41st year for the event. The Pacific NW NNL Modelfest is also produced by SABA, we had the 20th Annual event this past March. SABA, also works with other shows in the area to make sure the model building hobby is represented.
Through our association with the Billetproof Origination SABA is the host club for the Billetproof NW Model Car Contest. If you're in the PNW the last weekend of June you have to stop by the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds in Chehalis, Wa for the event, it is the most fun you can have in Chehalis with your clothes on.
