A few months back I ran across this photo on HAMB, being a fan of Model A coupes figured it would be an interesting project to add to the list of projects. I was fresh out of Monogram '30 Model A Coupes so put out feelers for at least a body and got a reply back that a member on another forum had a body that had all the beltlines removed and was painted purple. Considering that the beltline on the Monogram '30 Model A Coupe is wrong in the first place a trade was arranged and the body became the piece for the build. The first thing that had to be done was to replace the cowl to convert the '30 to a '29. I had a spare Monogram '29 Roadster Pickup that would be the donor for the cowl, fenders and radiator shell. The rear fender required the fender openings to be reradiused in order to fit on the '29 fender ass'y. The next step was to start adding the beltlines back on the body. Hosted on FotkiThere is still some additional body moldings that need to be added to complete the project before moving on to paint, but it is a work in progress. I have yet to decide if the project will go any further then the Coupe in the photo, only time will tell.
