This is on my workbench now. As the subject explains, it's going to be a 57 Chevy as junk car, on a small diorama, including a gas pump and other cool stuff. Here you have some nice pictures of what I've been doing until now: The gas pump is 100% scratch build (1/16). I still have to apply rust and weathering effects on it... it's a shame... but together with the junk Chevy it will look just great! You'll see!

I like the drivers door interior sheet metal detail, great start. Are you working from photos, past experience with 57s or replicating from the real thing ? Having owned three 57 chevys you have my interest.

@ itsonlyakit: I work from pictures. I' a big Bel Air fan have lots of books and if I don't find the right pictures in my books I just google for the right car parts and copy them. Here you have one more:

Some fantastic work going on here. I've got a '34 Ford Pick Up in 1/16th scale that I just might grow some chachkies to do some crusties with.

@ Alex: I would love to see that '34 Ford pick up. Are you starting a thread with it? Well, let's continue with the Chevy. Here you see the original firewall and a picture of a real firewall printed on scale. The difference is so huge I decided to make it completely new... while doing that I actually realized that I had to make the whole engine compartment new. So here you have pictures of the firewall. I'll post pictures of the complete engine compartment as soon as it's ready. Before: After:
