Oh man, Dog ! Don't go on me like that!! Of course I want a finished model shown! Checking back, I didn't specifically state that. As close as I got was, "Here’s what’s going down: build a BEATER hot rod by midnight December 31, 2010". Finishing should be a given in any contest !!! You all had just under three months to complete this.
But next weekend, show what you got. Degree of completion, or lack of, will certainly be taken into consideration. I will be sending this prize to some one. I'm not looking for an excuse to welsh on my part. Clay
Here's my finished build. AMT '32 Ford roadster, with the body channelled over the frame. The grille shell is sectioned with a mesh insert. Front axle is the dropped unit from the AMT '40 Ford kit. Wheels are '32 wires painted black, after seeing a kool hot rod in R&C recently. The engine is AMT's Studebaker lump with a homebuilt triple carb set up. The body is generally roughed up and rusted up, with a mucky wash over the running gear. Enjoy, I know I did! A real fun build.
