Hanging out at home today after wrenching my back this morning. The smart thing to do would have been to dig out and finish a project. So, instead of doing the smart thing I choose to start a new build. This Revell '26 Sedan has been sitting on the bench for months having been primed last year some time. After spending an hour or so trying to decide on how much to chop from the Sedan, the tape got wrapped around the other way and the body became a much shorter version of the Sedan. Now we have a Coudan or Sedupe or..... After about an hour with an Xacto saw, sand paper and files this is where the body work on the Cou-dan/Sed-upe. Hosted on FotkiThe frame will be scratch built from Evergreen Styrene .080X.125 (2X3) with a suicide front end using the axle from the Monogram '32 Roadster. The engine plans call for the Hemi from the Revell '32 5 Window Coupe. To take the build to the wild side I'm going to get the 2X8 log manifold/valve cover set from RMoM. The tires from the AMT '25 2in1 kit will most likely get used with a set of Raidrs from the Revell '64 Thunderbolt. Stay Tuned

I think they call that a king cab now, don't they? Are you going to chop it ? Looks pretty neat so far. Greg.

After a bit of PhotoShop work here is what the body would look like chopped 4 and 6mm or aprox 4 and 6 inches. I figured it would be easier to Photoshop the image 4mm Chop: 6mm Chop: Hosted on FotkiSo, what do you think? Is it worth the time and effort to chop the shortened Sedan? I think the one thing that would help whether it is chopped or not will be to remove the roof and leave it open or put in a clear insert. Let me know what you think as I'm ok with it stock height or chopped.

I like the stock height and the 6 or even an 8 inch chop. Either leave it alone or make it drastic. Just the way I see it. Greg.

I kinda like that 6mm chop. Brings the windows more into proportion to the cab. The unchopped version looks to be just too much window.....IMHO.

Added panels over the openings in the body, then proceeded to cut openings in them for the rear axle. The tries and wheels and rear brakes from the Lil' Coffin' got the nod for the mock-up. The front rims will require the outside edges to be sanded level then BMF to bring them to the usable state needed for the build. The front portion of a Revell '37 Ford Sedan frame is being used for the build. All the cross-members were removed and replaces with Evergreen stock. The rear of the frame still needs to be Z'ed. The stances is right where I want the build to sit. The front axle will be supported by a set of transverse springs and radius rods. About the only thing I'm not sure of is what to use for a grille/radiator for the build. The selections range from the '27 stock grille all the way through the '32. Hosted on FotkiSo, there we have it for today. Stay tuned.

The parts from RMoM arrived over last weekend, as per normal the parts a totally first rate. Hosted on FotkiI've been looking for something to do with the the QC sticking out the rear of the body. I remember seeing a photo someplace of a rod with the QC out in the open where they built a sprint car type bumper to protect the differential, so, with a bit of wire it should be pretty to replicate.
