Junkyard coupe.

This will be a junkyard rat type build. Literally. Everything on this will be scratched or junkbox salvage.
Body was reworked from a previous disaster and chopped. Wheels/tires are home castings. Frame, in progress, is being scratch built.

Pretty close to having a rolling chassis.
Have the cowl/firewall mod roughed in.

Gettin closer. Starting to put stuff together. Should be able to wrap it up tomorrow.
Because I do so many open wheel rods, My junkyard wasn't keeping up with headlight buckets. Last couple, I was forced to go without or cobble some up using hupcaps, etc.
Tired of being without., I figgerd I'd try to cast some. Used a rear portion of what I think was a siren off of the Model A police car as a master.
Well, didn't turn out that great, but seeins as this is more or less a rat, I was able to use a couple and disguise the faults as rust .
Maybe I'll try to work something else out with those molds, later.



Here they are on the model. Sprayed them w/ Duplicolor Chrome, but handling them dulled them up real nice.

I like the Dulpi-Color Chrome paint. Works real good over a gloss black base. It does dull in a hurry and if you clear it. It will turn a greenish color.

Really taking shape. Personally, I like using Spaztix Chrome myself. Comes out really good and doesn't color shift if coated.
