Hey everyone ,I am new to the forum, You guys build some great models here. I have been modeling over the years building tanks planes cars and a model railroad. The railroad includes a auto salvage yard. Now I am trying to build a sort of history of short track dirt racers. a car from every era. Like you guys I love the cars that are beat but tear up the track. Some are rustyer than others. I have not photographed them all yet but will post them soon. here is a sample of a 70's modified, half a 1968 Plymouth sedan. thank for having me, tom Attachments:

Alex , thanks for asking I realize that I have skimped on my background info. I was just so excited to talk with others about models when I joined that I forgot to properly introduce myself. I live in Oak Park, Ill about 10 miles from down town Chicago. I grew up in the boonies, an unincorporated area in south western Cook County,IL, about a mile from Santa Fe speedway, a now gone dirt (clay) track. As a teen I worked at the track in the summers and saw the races for free, even got free beer on occasion. So building dirt cars is my attempt to recapture part of my youth. I am an artist by trade and make my living as an art professor. Tom
