I feel half guilty for not posting here recently. I have been dragging my heels on a non rustbucket build. But I promise to start one soon. I recieved a new 55 Chev convertible "Pace car" kit xmas before last. Not my style of modeling and I have been ignoring it. So, soon I plan to get it out and start junking it up.

Ha. I tend to ignore those kind of models too... Good luck with it and know that I'll still cheer you on with it.

Here goes !! The 37 is tied up in the paint shop, so, I got into this to have something to contribute to Rustbucket. My usual disclaimer on imagineering. I suppose the bolt patterns and water passages are totally wrong , but here we go. Going to beat the hell out of it as my friend Dan would say.

Frame coming along. Started in on the interior. Interiors being the least part of modeling that I enjoy. But this will be a convertible and all this crap will show! I have removed the speakers (vents ?) from the kick panels and am starting in on the seats. Should have a foto of the frame up on it's flat tires soon.

Got this baby up on it's 3 flat tires and noticed a severe oversight. The L front brake assy was just hangin in the air !! Can't have that !!! Ok, this ain't the best time to think of this and correct it after it's all weathered and assembled !!! But I went at it. Maybe this is better yet, that the A arm is broke.

Taking a break from the upholstery ( did I ever mention that I dislike doing interiors?) and opening up the grille shell, so I can wreck it !

Coming along nicely. Are you just sanding with a sanding stick to open the grill

I milled and sanded the backside plastic until it was practically just the chrome left in the openings. I'm opening the holes the rest of the way w/ an xacto blade

been dinkin with small parts, upholstery and sub assemblies. Now I'm starting the fun stuff....attacking the body !!! Todays work. This baby is going to take a major hit on the right side, so I'm making the passenger door sprung, for a start.

part of the telephone pole this car will be wrapped around NOT! I shave the pick and wedged it in the hood emblem hole, so I could paint both sides
