Not ready to paint the body, I think I want to inflict more damage. So, I grabbed the top to look it over and got sucked in to start removing plastic. Replaced the top of the bows with wire and started following the cast in details. Am I getting anal What a bunch of work !!!

Y' can bet yer sweet bippy I'm not gonna do THIS again. Fortunatly, JUNK may allow this shabby seat-of-the -pants attempt at covering the top in fabric, to not get a lot of scrutiny. I Plan to distress it some (more)!

Been putting in a few licks every once in a while. Here's a mid-build mock up. LOTS to go yet, both top and bottom! I always anticipate problems when I try to incorporate a kit interior tub into my butcherings. Front sits way higher than I want. I'll be working on that as I try to finish up )

Working on a rear window that will be laying forward over the package shelf and seat. I laid out the lines on a piece of the linen and ran piping (thread) around the edge, using acrylic paint as the adhesive. Cut around the outside of the piping with sharp shears and cut out the opening with a new scalpel blade. Here's the body, just washed, yet again. I had used some old airbrush paint for the rust undertones, forgetting that it was for fabric (T shirt) painting and had to be heat set. needless to say, it didn't dry. To soon we get old, too late we get smart!

Great tip on the fabric. This is going to be a super nice rust bomb when you get it done.

Now the FUN begins !!! Body is in it's base colors and paint resist blotches, and I've started to detail in the top. ;D The top has been painted and mildewed - that's a thin wash of greenishness around the piping and other places. Will be adding some minor rusting around the bow areas and inside.
