Billetproof 2011 Model Show and Rod Run

Went to Centrailia, Washington on June 25th 2011 for the Billetproof Rod Run. The run was held at the fair grounds there. The Model Contest was hosted by SABA Northwest for the Billetproof group. SABA did their usual excellent job of hosting and did a great job with the fair judging of the event. I entered 6 cars and won one plaque. Well the Shark's Realm Camaro did, I didn't. 1 ST place in the Dragrace class. This was an out door show and the paint on that car was like honey to a fly. It was talked about a great deal. Good job CarModDave for the paint and I want to say excellent job to all those that worked on the car. That model has taken at least one award at every show It's entered.

There were a lot of vendors there. One was selling old hot rod books and magazines. I found a book from 1959 that has the Challenger 1 featured in it. There is an eight page article on the car with several pictures. He wanted $20.00 I offered $15.00 and he said yes. Done deal.



It was a great day all the way around. I will go again next year. Here is the link to the models.
