It seems that this neglected forum is becoming my own personal space. So I figure I can get as wild as I want ;D Needing something to do while the roadster is soaking in brake fluid, I started looking at this Mustang III that I bought to rob the engine from quite a while ago. Looked at an old roof section from the Mad Magazine funny car. NAH ! My last surviving kit is a Revell Streetburner 55 Chev. I hate the look of that chop! I got the thing for the running parts. Anyway, with a little trimming at the rear, the chassis appears to fit the Mustang nicely. So, for now,at least, progress will be mainly assembling the chassis and engine from the streetburner. Also being my own personal space, I guess I can say what I want without offending any one. Carrying on, I'm not showing much til now because I don't take a lot of pride in merely assembling what comes in the box. A lot of model 'builders' take great pains and turn out some great models out of the box, but to me, it is still assembling someone Else's stuff. I have the roller now. This is all Revell. A little paint, coupla engine details, and simply assemble. From this point on tho, the Geezerman plans to take over !! However, I had planned for my mods to take care of the wheelbase, What I missed, was the fact that the Mustang's profile was way too low for what I had envisioned. So, I will not be using the Mustang. Looking at plan B.

Now, I'm looking at the Streetburner 55 Chev body. Normally, on a chop with B pillars, I like to keep them in (it looks less like a cop out). But this got to looking so much better than the Revell Chop, I think I'll save it for a nicer build. I dug out the trashed Frankenstien fiasco from a couple of years ago and looked it over. With the funny car roof, this might be a whole lot better for the mess I want to create. So, Frankenstein is headed for the brake fluid bath, and I'll proceed with plan "C"

While Frankenstein is soaking, I went looking for the funny car cockpit's windshield. Can't find it. Solution was shaping a 49 Ford hood found in the salvage, that had close to the correct contour, and trimming it to fit the opening. Then using some clear packaging material and the Wizdon Parts Sucker, I vacuum formed a new one.

Unlike the rodent skull that I had used when I built the "Rodent", I will be using this one. I don't know what it is. I'll have to look it up. I'll be taking off the thorns that I had epoxied on. This baby has FANGS, how cool is that? Told you. I will be getting as outlandish as I want (unless Alex comes home and shuts me down !P).

Igor's not too thrilled to see this doggie back in the garage. Brake fluid reminded me that I had pie sectioned this. I had forgotten, shows how observant I am! Shouldn't be a problem.

You do whatever you want to Clay, that's why I came here in the first place. Good to see you back. I was starting to think this might be a lost cause.

Thanks, Bob. Nice to see someone else here. As an administrator, I have been fielding requests to join every so often, but 99.9 % never show up. I have finished my A bomb build and will post it. I have also built a Model A coupe, but didn't bother to show it here. Its a NICE model. I'll put it in the beauty queen section. Thanks, Clay

Looks good, but I see a lot of back area. What do you think of portholes like a 56 t bird has or something like that ? The way I see it, you put anything on here you want to . Nice, shiny, it really does not matter. I just love to watch the creativity you have and how you can make anything work together. Keep it up and know you aren't doing it alone. I do pop by everyday just to see what's going on.

Thanx for the hard work, but I am beginning to wonder about you! Rodentia, rust, big engines. There must be a connection somewhere.
