Not too sure where to put this, but I want to keep contributing to this board. I have been working on this for a couple of days, but have postponed posting it because I wasn't too sure if it was feasible even. While he was in Florida a few months ago, a friend dropped off these resin pieces for me to play with.
I'm not a big fan of fading the front fenders of fat fendered cars, so I thought to change this chopped 39 panel back. I had a set of 40 Ford fenders in the stash, and will try to patch them in. Removing the resin modified fenders proved to be quite a chore, but I got 'er done !
Trial fitting.
Some serious patching in with styrene scraps, including a set of inner door panels.
And today, my major helpmate......Bondo !

Alive and well. Just have modeling on the backburner. My pal, Larry, has commissioned me to do a pencil drawing of his Willys that is intended to go in his wife's (Linda) new office at Gilmore Auto museum. Kinda honored to do that.www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/

I might add that Larry has been associated with Gilmore for years, and they have a few first class (beauty queen type) hot rods in their collection. Linda has just been appointed to Gilmore's management staff.

You probably saw the model I built for him. It was sent up North to him about a year ago.

Report ( for any that may be interested) I have the drawing finished and am waiting until Larry gets back from a California trip to get it sent. When they have it framed and hung in the museum, they're to send me a photo, which I'll share with y'all. My knee surgery has been put off for another month ( have to have some broken hardware removed) so I'll try to get back to the modeling that I have been neglecting.

The knee is doing quite well. I had a request to do a piece of artwork and now that is finished, so I'll be getting back to this for a bit. ( 'Til they open the knee back up to remove some hardware that broke) But this morning, I shortened the salvaged chassis about a 1/4 inch to get the wheel base matched up. Still looking at a ton of bodywork. My original intent was to build this as a sort of semi-curbside, so my cobbling shouldn't be visible on the final result.
