Going to make a model for my old buddy Larry Maupin of his award winning hot rod.
Starting out gathering stuff for the engine.
building the engine.
Modifying some valve covers.
Test fitting the engine.
Some engine detailing.
Valve cover rework.
Rounding up pulleys.
Larry wins another award during my build.
Scratch building the inner fender walls.
Installing some photo etched pulleys.
Chassis a roller! Ready to start on the body !
Test fit mockup.
Header fit.
Stock kit rear fenders have to be modified.
Built up with sheet styrene.
Forming.
Masking for ghost flames.
Finish fotos'

Wouldn't it be cool if this garage was real and these kinds of cars came and went all the time ? A fine job on this one. Does his hood lift off or flip forward ?

thanks, Bob. Yeh, it'd be cool, but my budget will only allow this scale. Larry's hood is hinged at the cowl, lifting upward normally, albeit, he has high dollar billet hinges. On the model, it just lifts off .

Ok. The second pic down makes it look like it might flip forward. They must be nice, I see no trace of them in that pic....
