This was kind of a silly idea, but I does it anyway. Monogram 30 Ford woody and an AMT Pro street chassis.
Prostreet chassis was in two parts with the engine molded in in the bottom half. I used both halves and cut the front off after fitting the body to it.
I trimmed some off of the wheel opening.
I wanted to replace the plastic spokes with wire, but only could do so only on the front halves. Ended up not using them for a more appropriate set from the salvage bin.
Deciding on an engine to use.
Fitting some salvage yard fenders and hacking off the front of the 2 part chassis.
I had to build a new front end. This was from a NASCAR Craftsman Ford truck.
Scratching and bashing a new front clip.
Building up an engine.
Now to figure out an exhaust that would clear everything.
Cycle fenders thinned and trimmed down for the front.
I had to mess with the front wheels.
Raising the spindles.
Front nerf bars from salvage stuff.
'Flapnoids' for the blower hat.
Getting color on the wood.
And the metal candied. Now, still messing with the exhaust problem.
Can't get out past the body width.
Ahah! Flexible craft braid !
Hanging a little low, but eventually one gets tired of doinking with stuff!!
Finish fotos.
Had to add a pair of testiculos
