I don't know if I posted this in the right forum? It will be a rod and it will be "off the wall", at least in my opinion. However, there will be quite many post 1959 parts on it? But far from everything. Move it if you think it is in the wrong place. This far, I will only give you pics of parts from 2005 (!) but do not believe that they will be the whole truth. Starting with this mint 300C body... But the sills are too high IMO....chop chop! If I cut the bottom of the body, I will have to cut the top too to balance it out! "Remove"? Well, OK, I'll do! Because following instructions is very important when building models! Hmmm, I think that it is broken!

Borrowing some parts from a slightly older Chrysler. For example, the cowl, to the body that now is lookin like this. And the frame, but I am considering to raise the kickups to get it as low as I want. A Detroit diesel seems to be perfect to power something like this, right? Hmmm, but maybe getting all that torque to the ground will require some thinking.... OK, you're getting this now, right?

After chopping of some crossmembers and other unnecessary stuff, the engine fits quite well. But raising the kickup would make the frame rails touch the engine, and flipping the axle would not lower it much, how should we solve this? Some german parts maybe? Goodbye gastank, I have better ideas. Of course it will have to be equipped with a floor, you don't want me to build unsafe cars, right?

Painted the frame, it is my first time painting something completely rusted, so be honest now, does it look convincing? Will be running some Model T wood spokes up front, got them in the mailbox today.

Disc brakes in the rear, a bit unorthodox maybe, but the rear axle was too narrow and widening it by building rotors out of leftovers from the 32 Chrysler kit was very easy... Tried making some ugly welds out of white glue, be honest now, do they look convincing? The red oxide is just there to make me see the results better, I haven't decided on any finish for the body yet.

Welds look a bit wide and high. There was something on simulating welds, spot and lines, either at a model forum or maybe on You Tube. Dr. Cranky is a rat rod Y.T. guy and his site and Y.Ts. may have good info. Sad to see one of my all time fave classic kits, the old Chrysler, put thru the worst, but there are still a few around.

Had a couple of parts lying in front of me and it finally struck me how the front end should look. Say hello to the Zombie Joker! Got the idea for the name since I do see some similarities with the Joker....
