With paint curing, I turn to my next project. Having robbed the engine from the Jolly Roger kit, I didn't want to let the rest go to waste. I found a flathead block in the salvage piles, a pair of old KKKK Ardun resin heads, and fished out the FI unit, with the snorkled air cleaners, that I didn't use from the 48 woody. I'll try to use that in the dragster stuff. I can legally use the dragster's 4 port zoomies with the Ardun heads.
That dragster looked obscenely long (I know that's how they're supposed to be) and the Jolly Rogers front wheels look as if the were pirated from a grocery cart. So, I found some less offensive (to me) wheels and decided to shorted the dragsters frame about 2 sections ! Still looks awful danged long !!
I guess we'll see what kind of abortion I can come up with !

The front part is done. except for taking a section out of the frame and making adjustments on relative parts, it is pretty straightforward out of the box. I did attach the dragster tranny to the flathead engine. I'll be pulling of this to finish the Belvedere and then it'll be getting the flathead to look like a dragster mill.

Is that a scratched body or shortened ?
I shortened the kit body to fit the frame. Apart from the engine, the rest of the dragster will be kit.

I have the tail section on and the engine mounts in place and starting to put the engine stuff together. Just so's y'all know that I know, the plumbing and stuff is entirely BOGUS !! Chalking it up to imagineering, and even that is stretching it!

The Ardun flathead is complete and installed. I'm doing some finishing up details and will post photos shortly. Haven't built a dragster model before, and liked the experience. It kept me using the remains of the Jolly Roger kit after I had robbed the engine for the Belvedere.

The magneto is kind of high up in the wind, but the engine looks good.
