While cruising the wretched hive of scum and villainy that is interwebs, I stumbled across this pic... The hulk appears to be a '37 Ford panel, and wouldn't you know it, I had the Revell kit of same in my stash. We've all been to scrap yards and have seen the old vans stuffed with parts and various doodads, and perhaps you've seen (or even have) an old vehicle on a piece of property being used as a makeshift storage unit. So, that's the route I decided to take with this. First order of bidness... I cut out the front doors to show more of the stuff crammed inside. The rear doors come molded separately, but as one piece- I cut them apart. The drivers side door was glued into the shut position, and non-functional hinges were made for the passenger's side door so that it could be "posed" open. The front fenders were cut away from the floorboard, and shelves were made from strips of basswood, weathered with a "crackle" treatment and Tamiya paint. A peek at the shelving visible through the open rear cargo door. Another view of the shelving. I then began to "stock" the interior shelves... That's it for now. I may or may not add this to a small base as part of a small "overgrown back lot" diorama. Stay tuned...

I built mine as a hauler for a Dirt Track Vickie, so this is a very interesting idea. Looking forward to watching.

The hulk now has paint on it, and the body/floor are permanently joined.
