OK, Kiddies. I'm on another salvaged orphan build. Almost a week of non-stop rain has kept me from taking my garage backdrop out to fotograph the cabover. I have made a start on this 'orphan'.
Started by building a perch for a 'suicide' front end and mounts for a 'nailhead' engine painted Chevrolet orange just to be mean.
Recessing the firewall.

I found this grill shell in the salvage. Shaped a radiator to fit, and cut off the tacky headlights with chromed lens'. I'll be taking off those brackets and mount headlights low on the front of the frame rails. Don't ask me about the lighting, I have no idea why it came out yeller.

This body has a rumble seat. The lid had major gaps. so. I had Igore weld it up and fill the seams. Touch up the tail lights and add a small apron for the rear bumper.

Mixed up a very pale yellow with One Shot. I'll let it gas out for a while and se what turns out. Seems like this enamel paint tends to shrink down as it gasses out and shows EVERY minor flaw. So I won't proceed until I see if it'll be allright !

The repaint has gassed out some. Looks better. Because I flunked out of engineering at Dumstuff U, I couldn't get the rear window re-installed without cutting out some of the rear shelf, to get at the back of the installed top !
