Now before you go laughing, first I never have! But I would want to try it! However, I am wanting to see if I can do it using common household items! I know the salt trick and I know the tape trick and the scuffing trick. But what can I use thats common around the house to create rust? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jody

Some modelers use actual rust dust they collect or create.

Thanks, Dave. I'm always looking for ways to make my weathering more realistic. Lots of great tips in there.

hey jody, i use the "baking soda" method of making faux rust.........its pretty easy and yields great results. i dont have a tutorial done right now, but if you want, i can whip up a quick one for you....
the salt method, and sanding technique also go right along with the baking soda thing......
if i can help ya out, lemme know! bryan
