Still have another non cruddy model to build. As the only participating administrator (it seems), I feel obligated to post my non junk stuff I hooked up with an old buddy from the 80's and was surprised to learn that he owns a 41 Willys with an EFI Big Block. And, he runs and owns a small hot rod shop in Michigan. I offered to build a model of his car for him. Only big block engine in my salvage yard that will carry the Resin EFI that I have, is the one that was in the 55 Chev Sportsman. I started clearing off the block to use a set of heads with finned valve covers that I had in the salvage yard (already plated). Larrys not running a Lenco Drag tranny so I sawed off the one from the Sportsman BB and found a generic tranny to mate up to it. The Lenco wasn't going to fit the transmission tunnel anyway. Not sure about this one yet. Here's a mock up ogf the engine parts I have . Those valve covers are too tall and thin. I'm going to use the heads and valve covers from the 55 Sportsman kit (now that I've ground off the locating tabs ) I have to fill in the Pontiac lettering. Paint them silver/chrome. Larry will have a little less bling Fuel rails and vacuum lines now attached to the injector unit.

This afternoon's session I made some injector stack collars out of .012 copper wire. (extras are for when some of them take the flick to the twilight zone) Plus I jacked the Pontiac valve covers up 1/32 inch.

Not much progress. Dinkin around, trying to get it up on wheels.

More dinkin around. Did some relieving on the interior tub. Changing the console compartment. Backing up the firewall setback. (Larry says he still has to remove the injectors to get at the distributor).

Great start Geez, and yea, I think you are allowed to post anything and everything you like on here. I'm all for it. I'd like to see you post every build you do. Maybe we can make a special section for your stuff that may not quite fit on here as it was intended.

I'll be back on that old station dio after this, Bob. After filling in the Pontiac stamping on the valve covers, I encountered problems getting the detailing grooves that's on Larry's covers. Freehand scribing didn't cut it. Latest attempt is placing thread across them and spraying a new coat of Duplicolor chrome over them. We'll see if that works Did a bit more detailing on the injectors.

Been replacing the flooring in my computer room (honey-do- thing for my child bride). Be back on project soon. Meanwhile, my buddy copped a trophy at the NSRA - Kalamazoo this weekend ! Plus, the photo etched pully faces came in from the Model Car Garage. They look to be just the ticket !!

Just so it fits. It'll be hard to see once it's buttoned up. Nice job.

Definitely subtle Dog ! You can barely make out a front edge on the lower front edge of the hood in this shot.

Got the roller back together. Here is a mock of the stacks. I think I will have to wait until the body has been painted and permanantly attached or mated with the interior tub to glue them onto the injectors. The body has to be lowered and then slid backards over the tub. Won't clear the stacks. Unless I can mate the two and then lower them both onto the chassis and still have it sit right. Sure would like to get that front down some more. Arrgh, I really dislike interior tubs !!!!!
