When you say go lower, you mean set the engine lower ? It looks great, that's for sure, but it doesn't seem to be settled in somehow.

I really like those spokes and the frame. I think you're hitting this one right on target.

The channel, Bob. It's going a little bit lower in the front. Yesterday, before the old fool fell and broke a kneecap, I tried daubing welds on the floorboard with Elmer's Carpenter glue and a straight pin. Wearisome, I pulled off that, and started scratching a gas tank. Half inch wooden rod and a couple of 1:24 hubcaps.

Had the staples (25) removed yesterday. They don't want me doing anything outside, but I can set out in the shop and model (like I haven't been sneaking out there anyway for the last two days) Anyway, I had laid out the bomber seat in cardboard, upper left, to see how the sizes would be. Then, Making some corrections, I made one in styrene (upper right). All FUBAR, looks like a factory reject. More corrections , and back at my desk, I was able to lay out a more precise one. The finished seat plus pad. ;D

D*mn, nobody should mess up our knees. We up North have the "privilege" of falling on ice, but not Southerners! Intake manifold is regular NASCAR style, so not stock. The making of the gas tank and seat show your talent! Good luck with the knee.

Tank support brackets installed. Scratching a new 12 volt battery and holder. And starting to patch in the floorboards with some signage.

Looks like Igor is a pretty rough welder, or is he just in a hurry for the holidays ? Nice look to it.
